I am Owner/Broker/Realtor of Olsen Ziegler Realty -- an energetic, transparent, innovative real estate company serving the Greater Cleveland area. My wife, Julie Ziegler, is also Owner/Realtor and, together, we present our entire business model on this website for both buyers and sellers. About Chris Olsen...

I am Broker/Owner of Olsen Ziegler Realty and a mega-million dollar producer representing buyers and sellers across the Greater Cleveland area. I started this company after years in the real estate industry working for the top names in my market.  After experiencing the trials and tribulations that buyers and sellers go through, I knew there was a better way and that sellers and buyers deserved more than what they were receiving. 

Since starting the company, with my wife Julie as my partner, we have been helping sellers prepare their homes in order to maximize their sales price by recommending the correction of deferred maintenance items, home staging, and home re-design and renovation services. I also was determined to lower the expenses of sellers and buyers as the cost of buying and selling a home can be so overwhelming based on the "fees" let alone the actual price.  Therefore, we minimize sellers' expenses by creating innovative service offering including a lower listing commission, no dual agency commission, no transaction fee and reduced variable title/escrow fees. I have helped so many clients reduce their closing cost fees by working with reputable, title companies who are not involved in Affiliated Business Arrangements (ABAs) or Joint Ventures (JVs) with real estate agents/companies, nor does Olsen Ziegler Realty.  These are real dollars that belong in the consumers' pockets, not in the pockets of the real estate industry.

In addition, I work with buyers, from first-time home buyers, to fortune 500 executives, to medical professionals around the University Circle area, as well as professional sports individuals. My  knowledge of the entire Greater Cleveland marketplace is also invaluable to his relocation clients.

I also have demanded that Olsen Ziegler Realty be at the forefront of technology and to utilize it to its fullest potential for every client. Sellers reap the benefits of vast marketing exposure via the Internet as well as enhanced digital photography and unparalleled virtual tours. Buyers receive their own custom property search website based on their criteria which puts them in the “driver’s seat.” I know that being at the top of the real estate field includes continuing education which translates into clients benefiting from my broad knowledge and experience in negotiation strategies, home staging, multiple offers, buyer representation, inspection issues, representing and marketing luxury properties, and helping first-time home buyers.

Prior to starting Olsen Ziegler Realty, I was a Realtor with Re/Max Classic, Howard Hanna, and Smythe Cramer in the Greater Cleveland area, and previously with Weichert REALTORS in the Washington, D.C. marketplace.  I also worked for Cleveland’s oldest and most well-respected commercial real estate appraisal firm as a commercial real estate appraiser. Previous to entering the real estate field, I spent sixteen years in the information technology field and achieved much success as I grew from a software engineer to a project manager to an independent consultant for Fortune 10 companies and for highly successful Internet and telecommunication start-up companies, including a company that made "IPO of the Year."

Julie and I have two children and two Labrador Retrievers. I enjoy bike riding, hiking, drawing and cooking. Julie enjoys reading (everything from novels to home magazines), music, and gardening. Most of our family time is centered on our daughter’s equestrian activities and our son’s sports activities.
